Jon Berryhill holds a B.S. in Engineering Computer Science from Lamar University in Beaumont Texas. He has extensive DOS and Windows experience dating back to the original releases of both operating systems. He has been working in and around the computer industry since 1983. A former officer in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, Office of Special Investigations, he was a federal agent with formal training in computer security, data recovery, evidence handling and computer crime investigation. Jon was on active duty with the AFOSI until October 95. For an additional seven years he continued with AFOSI as a member of the Air Force Reserve.

While with AFOSI Jon worked as both the lead investigative agent and in support roles in a wide variety of cases including fraud, homicide, theft, drugs, child pornography and counter-intelligence. He has experience testifying in military, federal and state courts. Jon has provided expert testimony in and been certified by California and Federal courts as an expert in the field of computer crime and computer forensic analysis.

In addition to forensic media analysis and consulting, Jon was an instructor for the California Department of Justice - Advanced Training Center from 1998 to 2000. He developed and taught their Internet Crimes Investigations course and participated in the development of other high tech crime and computer crime investigations courses. He worked closely with them to develop POST certified courses for California peace officers.

In addition to his other activities, Jon has also provided computer evidence seizure training to local police. Following guest lectures at the California State University, Sacramento, Jon was named to the rolls of the Criminal Justice Scholastic Speaker's Bureau as a preferred member.
